Work on the new album “SCALLYWAGS” continues, most of the Orbs’ vocals are now finished after a heavy session at Big Sky Records, all Johns’ bass parts are finished and Drax is slowly working his way through the rhythm GTR parts.

New Album Recording

The recording of my (Drax) gtr parts is under way after a few months of deciding which set ups/recording techniques to use. I wanted to use a much heavier wall of sound using layered gtrs for each part.

My set up for recording includes: Line 6 DT-50 head, using the DI output, various Joyo pedals for the overdrive and also Seymour Duncan ‘Dirty Deeds’ pedal.

All recorded into Sonar X3 software through a V-STUDIO 100 interface.
